The purpose of the role is to provide building services cost management on a range of projects. It is an exciting time as the M&E team truly begin to capitalise on the embedded relationships of the existing cost management and PM teams in the MIdlands region. The role will suit an individual who can work on their own initiative and thrives on achieving excellent client service, through which we will achieve greater business development opportunities.
Your objectives:
- Carry out pre and post contract cost management on a variety of projects from feasibility stage to final account completion.
- Assist the Associate and/or team leader on the project.
- Carry out and /or assist with cost planning, value engineering, option analysis, procurement advice, preparation of tender documentation, returned tender analysis and contractor selection.
- Carry out post contract duties such as valuations, cost report management, change management, and final account agreement.
- Assist in the training, mentoring and development of junior members of staff.
- Develop specialist technical and financial knowledge of a sector and develop contacts within prospective Clients and key colleagues in that sector.
You will employed on some significant projects currently being undertaken in the Midlands, involved in the retail, office, residential and education sectors providing diversity to your daily workload.
Salary dependent on your ability and level of operation.
