JOB TITLE: Cost Controller
LOCATION: Thatcham, Berkshire
SALARY: £10-12 per hour
DURATION: Contract
COMPANY INFORMATION:
A leading nuclear company requires a Project Cost Controller to cover Maternity leave for 11 months, starting February 2010.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
You will support the Project Manager and Project Engineers in all aspects of cost control on projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will raise invoices on a monthly basis and chase overdue invoices. You will generate weekly project cost reports from the company cost system, enter timesheets and resolve any timesheet errors.
You will check for correct allocation of costs across the project work packages and ensure that all project staff correctly apply the project time booking system.
You will be responsible for expenses, collating information and invoice for these. You will define cost reports to be supplied by sub-contractors, check cost reports from the subcontractors are valid and control commitments and expenditure within authorised budgets.
You will produce project cost forecast reports and plans, ensure that secure and traceable cost records are maintained until archiving and support the Project Manager in ensuring that potential variations are effectively recorded and managed appropriately. You will establish an effective change control system for project changes.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
You will have proven experience in a cost control position and be able to demonstrate a track record of undertaking cost control / financial control in a challenging environment.
Security clearance is required to be obtained for this position.
