The Company:
An international multi-disciplinary firm of chartered surveyors and property consultants. Due to expansion of existing projects teams, they urgently require a Commercial Manager to be based in Yemen, on a major mixed use project located on the Faj Attarn Hill south west of Sana’a.
The site is located on an exclusive plateau 2350 metres above sea level with a site area of approximately 440,000m2. The project comprises of the following:

-80 No. 3 Bedroom Villas
-73 No. 4 Bedroom Villas
-14 No. 5 Bedroom Villas
-2 No. 7 Bedroom Villas
-100 No. 3-5 Bedroom Villas
-211 No. Apartments
·Hotel
-5 star hotel with 200 keys
·Retail and Commercial
·Mosque and community centre
Completion of the whole of the project is scheduled by February 2014.
Responsibilities and Experience Required:
Pre and Post Contract skills, FIDIC, Cost +, GMP, Managing a team of 8 QS, Client facing, reporting skills, setting up cost reporting procedures, willing to relocate, 15 to 20+ years experience (MRICS (is a must), Value Engineering, Risk Management, Major Project experience GBP200m+ as an indication, Mixed use exp., mainly consultancy background, tender document preparation, Claims experience, preferred single status.
Compensation:
We are looking to appoint someone for this scheme URGENTLY.
It is essential that applicants have strong previous experience running the quantity surveying
and commercial management aspects of projects of a similar nature. Previous international experience, especially in the North African or Far Eastern regions is also highly desirable.
Salary offered will depend on level of experience but typically £75,000 - £100,000 pa plus accommodation.
