Reporting to the Subsurface Team Leader, the Senior Development Geologist will be expected to play a key role in the Heather team.
The Geologist will be responsible for all geological aspects of field development including management and supervision of sub-contractors providing specialist services to the team.
The primary function of this role will be construction and maintenance of fully integrated 3D geological models for use in reservoir simulation. These models will form the basis for planning, design and optimising well drilling programs and field development plans, as well as the technical input to reserve and economic evaluations.
The applicant will be expected to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
A good Geology degree, preferably to MSc level, a strong background in field development geology coupled with up-to-date geo modelling skills and high level of familiarity with the UK North Sea is essential.
A good working knowledge of geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir and petroleum engineering would be beneficial, as the position involves work within a multi-disciplinary team.
Wellsite geology experience is desirable, as the role will involve assisting in well planning, generation of well prognoses, and the preparation of post well evaluation reports.
