Requirements
Due to expansion a vacancy has arisen for a Contracts Manager to be based in our London office. The Contracts Manager reports to the Sector Manager and is responsible for establishing and managing site teams throughout the projects, in accordance with the Contract requirements and responsible for Client liaison.
Responsibilities
- The Contract Manager is responsible for supporting the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) processes on Contracts.
- Providing Project Management skills to ensure that the project is managed to meet all contractual requirements.
- Provide leadership, management and support to all aspects of the Project team.
- Ensure the effective management of labour & subcontract resources in liaison with the Project Manager to deliver the project safely, to budget, to programme and to contract requirements.
- Assist Sector Manager to plan and allocate appropriate supervisory resources as required by the project management team.
- Supporting the Commercial Director and Area Commercial Manager in administering subcontracts.
- Evaluating sub-contractors, and advising the Sector Manager and the Procurement Manager on their capabilities.
- Support the Project Manager in providing project progress reports to the Sector Manager.
- Support the Project Manager to ensure all reporting requirements are met by the project management teams and communicated to the relevant Managers.
- Provide early warnings to the Sector Manager on problem issues and potential major over spends as soon as they are apparent.
- As required, provide assistance, advice and leadership to the Project Manager on constructability issues during the planning phase of a project and manage the resource allocation to any early construction activities that may take place during this phase.
- Leadership of all other members of the Project Team responsible for the delivery of the Project on time and on budget.
- Management and support of Stakeholders.
- Responsible for the establishment, maintaining and development professional relationships.
