Specialist consultancy in Surry seeks a niche Mechanical Power (LV/MV) Engineer for their small power group. You will essentially be working on mechanical concept engineering for power schemes, normally 11kv or below. As part of an expert team, you\'ll offer services to power plant developers, owners and operators for industrial and utility plants up to 100 MWe; assisting in the preparation of proposals, carrying out project assessments and feasibility studies; plant design, specification and managing tendering processes. Due to an increasing demand in the renewable sector, we\'re ideally looking for an experienced Power Generation Engineer for this role. You should have first hand and up to date knowledge of the UK power generation market and a high level of technical skills, preferably covering all aspects of power generation from gas turbines to gas and diesel engines. Knowledge of combined heat and power (CHP) would be an advantage. Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, combined with good financial management is essential. Qualified to degree level as a Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent), you will preferably be CEng and MIMechE. You will have good relevant professional experience in the power generation industry, as well as sound project management experience.
