Our client is a forward thinking well established Dredging contractor based in the South of England with a strong link to large overseas projects.
They are looking to recruit early in the New Year a Business Development Coastal Engineer who will be involved on a range of small to large multidisciplinary projects in the UK.
You Will be ideally Chartered (they will give assistance in achieving Chartership) and have Coastal Engineering technical competences.
You should be experienced in Project Management and have knowledge of Hydrodynamic issues associated with Coast Engineering.
Experience in Bid Preparation + Business Development would be a distinct advantage.
It is essential that you have the depth and range of project delivery experience in coastal engineering protection projects.
You need to be able to work independently whilst also working well as part of a multi-disciplinary team coupled with strong oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
Ideally BSc in Civil \\ Coastal Engineering (others considered).
Duties will include:
Assist with growing coastal team and their skills base.
Networking with the Environment Agency and other Coastal Authorities and acting as the focal point of contact for all aspects, ensuring professional relationships are maintained with the client and their representatives.
Business Development.
Manage Coastal design input.
Report writing.
Involved on Pre - Qualifications.
Represent our client through Exhibitions related to Coastal works.
An opportunity to visit their group HO in Europe + meet the various design and production departments such as the in-house engineering division.
Visit Sites on a regular basis and be involved in monitoring the performance.
Compiling statistics on behalf of our client for the Environment Agency.
Monitoring KPI\'S set in-house by the Environment Agency.
