Due to recent successes within the Education sector our Client has an immediate requirement for 1 or 2 Lead Design Architects to manage the complete design process for several schools being designed and developed for the Building Schools for the Future programme. The position is based in the North West however projects are based throughout the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a design team to work on BSF, Academy and secondary school projects. You will have a proven track record in leading a team, job running, project delivery, and should possess strong design skills and the knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation. You should also have experience in Client interface and management, and have the ability to be the main point of contact for them.
Essential Criteria
Chartered professional. Part iii qualified.
Experience within the education sector, including a good knowledge of the BSF process.
Good client management skills
Good presentation and communication skills.
High level of skills through all RIBA stages.
Proven experience in leading a design team
Able to coordinate architectural services with other design disciplines.
Desirable Criteria
Good working knowledge of LSC procedures and guidance, and the implications on design.
DQI facilitating experience.
Experience in FE projects.
Good knowledge of BSF process.
Good standard of written communication
