JOB TITLE:  Senior Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION:  Birchwood, Cheshire
SALARY:  Dependent on experience
DURATION:  Contract

COMPANY INFORMATION:
Our client is one of the leading providers of technical consultancy, engineering services and programme and asset management to the nuclear industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Definition of, organisation and production of quality deliverables as agreed within the project programme and budget. Production/checking of design documents and some drawings. Knowledge of mechanical handling, particularly Shield Doors, safety systems, HAZOP and engineering substantiation. Provision of accurate estimates work for programming

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
HND minimum. Knowledge and experience of the Sellafield Ltd FEL design process, standards and deliverables. Should be suitable qualified and recognised by SL as SQEP to provide designs in at least one key area

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Working towards Chartered Engineer status. Autocad capable.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 6 years design experience, preferably in the nuclear industry. Sellafield site knowledge, with experience of the FEL design process. Shield Door Experience
