JOB TITLE:  Civil Engineer Section Head - Offshore
LOCATION:  Hinkley Point, Somerset
SALARY:  Dependent on experience
DURATION:  Permanent

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
My client is now seeking to recruit an experienced Civil Engineer Section Head to be based in the South West.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The opportunity will involve significant civil construction work. In particular, significant structures are required for the sea water intake with significant off shore structures. The Section Head (Off-shore) Civil Engineer will have responsibility for coordinating all off-shore civil engineering for the construction.

The Section Head (Off-shore) is responsible for:
Initially working to help define construction strategy
Management of safety by the subcontractors and his own team.
Coordinating the off-shore civil engineering work
Defining the organisation and work practices of the off-shore civil engineering team.
 
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have a Minimum of 10+ years experience in civil construction preferably in the power generation industry:
Civil Engineering Design.
Civil Engineering Construction and installations experience.
Experience in off-shore and marine works construction
