The role will involve the management of a range of capital infrastructure schemes and programmes of work including all aspects of delivery from inception and feasibility through to construction and handover. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager the role will provide ample opportunity for career development

 

Responsibilities

Predominately based in the North West Centre, with the possibility of secondment within a Client team, the appointed Project Manager will be responsible for delivering existing and future commissions, which include major regeneration programmes, transport programmes, highway improvements and public realm schemes.

 

Essential Criteria

• Degree qualified in a construction related discipline.

• PM experience in consultancy managing multidisciplinary design and construction schemes.

• Experience of Microsoft Project.

• Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety.

• Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to motivate teams and work in close partnership with clients.

• Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.

• Experience of dealing with projects that impact on the general public.

 

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of preparing bids and securing new business.

• Local Authority experience.

• The desire to work towards Chartered Status.

• Experience of Public Sector project delivery.

• Experience of a range of procurement methods.

• Experience in the preparation of Major Scheme Business Cases for government funding.

• Experience in developing and delivering Bus Priority / Rapid Bus Transport schemes.
