Our Client a leading International Construction Consultancy has an opportunity to place a Quality Assurance Manager on secondment into one of their leading client organisations in London
This role will NOT fit a traditional QAM as the post is not Audit driven
They are looking for a senior level candidate who can liaise at board level to influence the way their property portfolio is managed (with regards to move, facilities and construction) by interpreting their corporate branding to ensure their internal customers (their employees) are happy and gaining the required benefit from the set standards.
In essence, the QAM will be the link between the corporate standard and actually what is delivered on the ground, which could be as far ranging as the colour of the walls, signage and toilet facilities to specific storage allocations of different departments and break out area design.
This is not an \'auditing\' role and is not for anyone who has just worked in an environment where they just produce management reports. This role is maybe best suited to an architect or designer who has developed a corporate branding process for an end user client to bring tangible benefit to the client\'s employees and then devised a way to measure and report on its implementation and affect.
The role will involve providing the following services and all candidates should have past experience of successfully performing similar duties at a senior level:
- Designing and implementing a TQM programme for a major UK company.
- Setting up and running focus groups to fully engage with all stakeholders.
- Designing and managing the reporting function to senior management.
- Liaising with external contractors and consultants on property related quality issues to provide service improvements.
- To assist in driving through internalisation of quality processes to achieve a real \'quality\' culture.
- Ensuring that an up to date audit programme is in place and monitoring progress against it using KPIs.
- Routinely reviewing the effectiveness of operating procedures and recommend improvements, managing any consequent implementation plans.
To be considered for this role you must have the following experience:
Essential
- A minimum of 6 years technical delivery experience as a Quality Manager.
- Track record of success in preparing and delivering a TQM programme for a multi site environment, ideally within the property or associated industry.
- Excellent stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts.
- Reporting skills with particular experience in IT led project planning and reporting tools.
- Able to provide advice and communicate from boardroom to site level.
- Degree educated (ideally within a business related discipline).
- Member of the CQI, ideally to MCQI CQP or FCQI CQP level.
- Team player, outgoing and flexible.
Highly Desirable
- Extensive experience of the property and construction industry, ideally within the consultancy environment.
- Previous experience of working on secondment to a leading corporate client.
