OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
Are you an innovative and experienced Materials Handling Engineer with an extensive background in design, selection and operation of material off loading? Are you ready for your next challenge within our Boiler Retrofit UK business based in Derby?

My client is now looking for an experienced Materials Handling Systems Engineer with an extensive background in the design, selection and operation of material off loading, conveying and storage systems for solid fuels.

Being part of the larger global Energy & Environmental Systems Group, my client provides engineered boiler solutions, including low NOx burners, biomass co-firing, boiler control systems and plant upgrades, for utility and industrial boilers.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be working as part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers and predominantly be based in Derby. Although as the company\'s work involves projects in the UK and overseas, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake site visits both in the UK and overseas in order to gather further information relevant to their design activities.
 
 
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
• Have a thorough knowledge of materials handling systems for solid fuels including Biomass
• Have a good knowledge of the control philosophy
 • Be familiar with fuel processing equipment, eg drying, screening and crushers
• Have a good understanding of installation and operational issues
• Be a professional engineer, educated to degree level or equivalent
• Be familiar with DSEAR and ATEX equipment Directive
• Preferably (but not essentially) have sound knowledge of materials handling environment
• Be a hands-on engineer capable of developing bespoke handling and processing solutions to client\'s specific requirements
• Preferably have a clean driving licence as some travel in the UK and overseas will be required
• Be able to work unsupervised and also make a major contribution to the success of the project teams
