JOB TITLE: Administrator
LOCATION: Runcorn, Cheshire
SALARY: £16,000 - £17,500 pa
DURATION: Temporary
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
This is a temporary role based in Runcorn, to start the middle of March. Core hours are 8.30 – 5.00pm. You will be working on 2 major projects and will be responsible to the Operations Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with the Tech Manager, you will:
• You will work as part of a small team to ensure the smooth running of the administrative requirements of the organisation
• Work with the Technology Managers on their administrative requirements, organising workshops, meetings
• Organise travel arrangements as required
• Carry out tasks such as:
- Work with Operations Manager on future events, where necessary attend and assist in the delivery of events
- Data entry and checking
- Dealing with phone enquiries
- Support Operations colleagues as appropriate
GENERAL DUTIES:
- All staff are expected to work within and to promote the aims and objectives of the company
- Team working and a flexible approach are essential
- The job may involve occasional travel, and unsocial hours. Over night stays may occasionally be required
- Training may be provided to enable the post-holder to better deliver the key tasks and to aid personal development
- All staff are expected to take responsibility for their own safety, and to ensure that colleagues and visitors are not exposed to danger
- All staff are expected to abide by the company’s policies and ethos at all times
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
GCSE level Maths and English is essential.
It is desirable you have a suitable IT qualification in use of spreadsheets, databases, email and word processing applications.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three years experience of organising and delivering events to a high standard
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Strong skills in spreadsheets (excel), word processing, databases and email software
Numerically fluent
Good communication skills.
It is desirable that you be competent with a PC/Windows environment and Project monitoring and a knowledge of the chemicals industry.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
Honest and reliable, you will be self-motivated, competent, able to take initiative and to meet deadlines.
Highly organised, with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable with working with colleagues of all levels of seniority
A sense of humour is desirable.
