First and foremost - you will need to be a highly professional and technically strong engineer with an ability to lead and develop Building Services solutions internally and with other Design Consultancies.
Outstanding interpersonal skills which will be put to the test in your interactions with the internal design team, the installation teams, external project stakeholders(Including the client.) With this amount of cross team interaction it goes without saying that you will need to have organisational skills of the highest order.
- Degree qualified(Preferably Building Services)
- Ideally Chartered(Although not essential.)
- Experience of managing and/or mentoring
- 7-10 years post graduate experience in a design related role
- Ideally you will have experience in a PM or Resident Engineer role.
- You will be a dynamic and technically excellent engineer, with a keen eye for renewables and carbon reduction.
- MCIBSE or equivalent - not essential, but desirable.
Competencies
- Ideally relevant degree qualified and preferably a chartered engineer
- Experience in leading and mentoring design risks
- Quality Assurance and compliance experience
- Excellent understanding of plant rooms, energy centres, Boilers, CHP and system design principles
- Past experience working on £5-20 millions projects
- Understanding of heating/cooling distribution design principles
- Good understanding of steam systems design principles
- Good knowledge of Biomass, gasification
- Practical experience of developing drawings with AutoCAD
- Must have management design experience
