An opportunity has arisen to work within a large asset team for a leading London social housing provider.
The role is for a Contracts & Technical Advisor to work alongside the procurement team advising and implementing procurement procedures and processes that support the delivery of customer service.

Ideally our client is looking for a candidate from a Main Contractor background with previous experience of working on social housing and either a graduate or a suitable relevant qualification such as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

You will need to have experience of working in a procurement focused organisation and managing procurement staff. You will also need the ability to work with different forms of contract and have a full understanding of the requirements of each. Duties will include ensuring that the procurement team complies with contractual, legal and technical standards to ensure excellent customer service.

Candidates wishing to apply must have experience of turning around final accounts quickly, accurately and managing this process (in terms of developing the process, maximising charges and ensuring value for money)– this is essential within a procurement environment. You will also need to be able to advise on the appropriate form of contract through the tender documentation and processes.

This role would suit a Commercial Manager / QS from a Main Contracting background that is looking to get into the public sector. It would be beneficial if you have also previously worked on housing properties and experience closing final accounts in a commercial environment is essential

Please note that due to the number of applications we are currently receiving, should you not be contacted for this role then you have not been successful this time. However please do still apply for any future vacancies that are of interest to you and we will consider your application.
