An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Business Development Manager to support the Yorkshire Region of a multi-discipline Construction and Engineering Consultancy based in Leeds. You will be working within the Building, Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Sectors.

The purpose of this role is to support the Business Development Manager in providing a highly successful and diverse Business Development function across the area in response to individual and mutual office needs.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation, coordination and management of high quality prequalification, tender documents; and client proposals.
  • Providing written content and liaising with graphics support for the production of general marketing materials
  • Providing focused BD support to key sector leads across the business
  • Supporting operational teams in the management of pipeline opportunities to ensure accurate financial forecasting
  • Desktop market research
  • Liaising with Corporate Marketing team to maximise PR opportunities around sales wins and project delivery
  • Identification and organisation of attendance at trade events

Key Skills

  • Qualified in a relevant discipline (or currently studying towards)
  • Experience of some or all of the following IT packages: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign.
  • Excellent Communication skills - both verbally and written
  • Experience of working in a similar industry environment
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to adopt a flexible approach to work
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work at all levels

Candidates with some construction, property or engineering experience would be preferred however this is not essential
