Our client a Multi-discipline Construction Consultancy is looking to recruit a CDM Co-ordinator for their office in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will work throughout the North West and will be required to travel to various sites, home working will also be an option with the use of a company laptop. 

The position will be working closely with a good variety of clients mainly within the Public Sector on projects from £500k up to £50m.

 QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 5 years practical experience providing planning supervision/CDMC within the construction industry
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of CDM 2007 regulations
  • Come from a construction background and hold a relevant technical qualification
  • Understanding of the design process
  • Membership of the APS - preferably having full CDM-C membership not PS
  • Relevant health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • IOSH membership preferred

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform CDMC’s duties in their role under the CDM Regulations
  • Carry out an initial site visit to familiarise yourself with the project
  • Meet with design teams and clients both in the office and on site
  • Produce CDM documentation at appropriate stages, in accordance with the CDM Regulations
  • Attend internal team meetings and participate in departmental initiatives
  • Perform other construction health and safety services that may be required by the Client from time to
  • time (e.g. Site Safety Audit)
  • Comply with general duties imposed on personnel in accordance with the IMS
  • Undertake such additional duties as are commensurate with the position
  • If not formally qualified work towards a professional qualification in CDM
