They are currently been asked by their client based in Saudi Arabia to help put together a commercial and project management team for 150 water and infrastructure projects. The team is 17 strong and my client is now looking for an experience Commercial Manager who has strong contractual knowledge to run the commercial team.
About the Role:
Their client has recently won 150 projects, which used to be run by the Government of Saudi Arabia but due to privatisation of nearly all infrastructure works they will now come under the control of my private client. Due to these projects being originally established to run under a government scheme and this private organisation now needs a commercial and project management team to help them set up procedures and commercial contracts. You teams responsibility will be to set up stronger contracts and turn the projects from a government scheme into a financially viable and profitable infrastructure division.
There are two Commercial Managers position; one in Jeddah and the other in Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia is very different from other Kingdom in the Middle East and will probably require an individual who is used to Saudi, or someone who is very familiar with the social and working conditions. This said however, Jeddah is a fantastic coastal city with great beaches. Riyadh is a large city in Central Saudi and you will be based centrally with easy access to the shopping centres and local hotels. You will be based in a secured villa compound which has excellent facilities including a gym, 24 hour pool and a golf course.
Job Specification:
As the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for, and need to have a demonstrable background in the following: Pre and Post Contract skills, FIDIC, Cost +, Managing a team of 8 QS, Client facing, reporting skills, setting up cost reporting procedures, willing to relocate, MRICS or degree qualified, Value Engineering, Risk Management, Major Project experience, Mixed use experience, mainly consultancy background, tender document preparation, and Claims experience.
Salary and Benefits Package:
35,000 – 40,000 SAR per month
