Our client is a recognised brand within a very well known and established developer. In January 2012 they will be starting on site on a £100m mixed use development on the Strand in the West End, and will be requiring a Construction Manager with responsibility for the cladding package valued at between £15m-£20m.
The site is due to run until 2016 and will include 206 apartment, 2 retail units, a restaurant, leisure centre and underground parking for 200 cars, plus soft and hard landscaping and other associated works.
The role will suit a good all round Construction Manager with a strong character and proven ability on projects of this scale and complexity, who will need to get to grips with the pre-planning and high design detail very quickly, and therefore will need to have a good understanding of engineering.
Previous experience of managing Cladding Packages in excess of £10m would be an advantage. The ideal candidates will have at least 15 years Construction Management experience and preferably have a degree in Construction or Civil Engineering, and be able to demonstrate a proven track record on major residential or commercial projects.
