An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Construction Consultancies Property Team based in North Wales

They are looking to recruit an experienced person, with responsibility for autonomous delivery of Pre & Post Contract Services on schemes across various sectors of the Industry. The role will also involve leading and co-ordinating Intermediate QS resource, developing the workload for the team and identifying opportunities to expand the services to a variety of clients.

The Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Plan and organise workload within the Team, for both external delivery and “in-house” multidisciplinary delivery
  • Collaborate with other CSL offices on projects, managing and controlling input/output
  • To support and direct intermediate and junior resource in the technical delivery of projects
  • Monitor and report to Team Manager on the status of projects (externally as well as internally)
  • Represent and provide input at meetings (internally and externally such as DRM and Project Meetings)
  • Fee bidding, programming and project planning projects
  • Monitoring of Project costs and fees
  • Client and stakeholder liaison
  • Preparing budget estimates and cost planning as schemes develop
  • Advice on Procurement and Contract options
  • Pre and Post Contract QS services, including preparing preliminaries, schedules of works, Bills of Quantities, Tender invitation and Reporting, Post Contract Contractual advice, Financial Reports, Final Accounts and Claims advice.

Objective Qualities

  • Chartered status or equivalent
  • Very experienced in traditional Pre and Post Contract QS services in both new build and refurbishment environments
  • Sound knowledge of Procurement and Contract selection together with experience of application in use.
  • Experienced in preparing budget and Feasibility Studies
  • Cost Planning techniques, appraisal and LCC
  • Experience in project management and commercial control
  • Initiative and drive with positive attitude
  • Deliver business development, including responding to/ delivering Consultancy PQQ and ITT invitations
