Project Manager, Belfast
Immediate opening with one of the world’s most rapidly expanding cost, project and asset management consultancies.
The position is based at their Belfast office and is an exciting opportunity for an established and professional Senior Project Manager to drive exceptional service delivery to one of our key clients in Ireland. The primary role will be to lead a multidisciplinary design team for the delivery of a high profile Prison project with a capital value £120M.
The candidate will enjoy carrying out a broad range of project management activities predominantly across the public sector and will play a key role being part of a solid team of 15 people.
Working closely with and alongside senior management and the project team, the main aim will be to drive the project forward thorough the early stages and establish a structured framework to deliver a high quality service by establishing and implementing a clear strategy to meet the client’s objectives. There is the opportunity for the candidate to greatly influence business development in Belfast and create a platform for their Project Management ongoing career development and progression.
The main project is for Prison building therefore strong prison PM experience is required.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading a project team in the delivery of client project requirements from inception to completion
- Principal point of contact with the Client
- Development of the Client Brief and Project Execution Plan
- Setting up and management of best practice PM systems and controls
- Co-ordination with in house procurement and commercial management service delivery
- Project schedule and budget management, including strong change control
- Post contract administration and post project review
- Management of testing, commissioning and handover
Skills / Experience Required:
- Demonstrable experience of delivering project management services within the public sector at a senior level within a consultancy environment is essential
- A Degree qualification and/or MAPM recognition are preferred
- The candidate will need to reside in Northern Ireland and must have worked on HMP/ Prison schemes
