Requirements
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to further their career within a large organisation like Kier. The purpose of this role is to work closely for the Senior Quantity Surveyor as required as well as contribute to profitable performance through the successful commercial and financial management of civil works.
Responsibilities
Administration of commercial / contractual requirements.
Assist in the management of procurement schedule in line with project programme deliverables.
Complete Subcontractors requisitions and obtain all necessary approvals.
Administration of SC Instructions / Variation Orders by completing necessary internal & external documents.
Assist in the compilation of Subcontract liabilities.
Produce estimates for internal resources, for team to review.
Liaise with Supply Chain Department to ensure that only the Subcontractors on the approved Supply Chain register are used.
Raise Early Warning Notices and also obtain agreement in principle of Early Warning Notices.
Undertake pricing of Change Order and obtain agreement in principle of Change Order.
Completion of monthly reports in line with KIER CONSTRUCTION financial timetable.
Assist with the requirements for measuring, recording and valuing subcontract work.
The Individual
HNC /HND / BTEC National (Construction related) or Degree (Construction related).
Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of commercial activities.
Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages. Knowledge of COINS
