Senior Contract Administrator – Oman Airport

 

About the Company:

This company is a large international engineering/construction consultancy who will be undertaking the post contact duties on Oman’s international Airports.  They are therefore looking for experienced Senior Contract Administrators

 

The scope of work you will be working on is the main Passenger Terminal Building Contract (Phase 1 of this Contract (current scope) includes a building covering 320,000m2, which is capable of handling 12 million passengers a year.

 

About the Role: 

This is a senior post, requiring a highly experienced Senior Contracts Administrator who is comfortable with undertaking all Contractual and Commercial duties and advising the Client and Executive Management.   You will also need a demonstrable background in ensuring all commercial and contractual QS/document control systems and interfaces with health, safety and environment standard procedures. You will also be assisting the Senior Resident Engineer ensuing he and his team will deliver the project within the contractual time plan.

Requirements for the role:

 

·       BSc, degree course or a member of a professional body within Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration / Commercial Management

 

·       Relevant project experience must include work associated with the procurement of airports infrastructure/building projects, as stipulated by the Project Management Consultant.

 

·       Possess an excellent knowledge of contract administration, project management and procurement through a Design & Build Procurement Strategy.

 

·       Possess good international experience using the FIDIC suite of Contract documents and even better if \'yellow book\' based.

 

·       Excellent skills in communication (spoken and written English, with special emphasis on clear and precise contractual correspondence) and mediation/dispute resolution.

 

·       Be capable of chairing, controlling and managing project meetings of a commercial nature
