OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading providers of technical consultancy, engineering services and programme and asset management to the nuclear industry.
Due to continued growth they are now looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to be initially based in France before returning to the UK.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will provide support in the field of Electrical equipment. While providing support, the successful candidate will develop valuable detailed knowledge of the UKEPR programme, technology and key networks.
Following completion of this assignment it is expected the individual will take up another role within the UK EPR project. Primarily taking on the following responsibilities:

- You will provide technical support in elaboration and adaptation of Technical Specification and rules to adapt to the UK context of standards and regulation.
- This includes Nuclear Power Plant transformers, motors, 10KV MV and LV switchboards, batteries and UPS.
- You will be conducting specific studies of the comparison of UK and French regulations and standards. 
- You will verify the English translations of technical documentation (design and qualification guidelines).
- Surveillance of electrical equipment contracts (technical specification and design studies)
- Supporting the licensing of the UK EPR (including preparation of responses to the HSE).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BSc in Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least 5 years UK Industrial experience in a design/maintenance role.
Preferably this experience will have been gained in the nuclear industry.
