JOB TITLE: ICEM Surf Modeller
LOCATION: Gaydon, Warwickshire
SALARY: £25.00 per hour LTD
DURATION: Temporary – 3 months
COMPANY INFORMATION:
My client is a leading automobile manufacturer who specialise in the luxury sports car sector.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
The job holder will work, with the minimum of supervision to develop 3D digital models for both 2D presentation and 3D evaluation/RPT/milling applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting the Studio Design Team to enable the delivery of both math and physical design properties.
- Work directly with the Clay Modelling and Studio Engineering teams to develop 3D Digital model data.
- Prepare renderings, technical drawings & CAD models of design proposals in support of the Design Release Process.
- Generate High Integrity math as/where necessary - to define \'A\' class standard – i.e. suitable for transfer into other CAD systems (principally Ideas/Catia/ProE).
- Generate math models suitable for milling/RPT applications (e.g. closed volume STL files).
- Work within the established regime of FPDS when effecting design changes.
- Contribute effectively to team technical discussions to ensure that the component engineers understand proposed design changes.
- Supporting the Designers with the generation of 3D models from 2D proposals/verbal directions.
- Provide technical information and support to senior management for design reviews.
- Carry out special projects, as directed by management.
- Plan and prioritise own workload.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
• ICEM Surf proficiency with OEM studio support for a minimum continuous 3 year period.
• 2D Presentation ability in addition to Class A surfacing expertise.
• A working knowledge of component manufacturing tooling requirements.
• Working knowledge of IDEAS Software.
• RPT/Milling plus Clay Model support understanding
