We have an immediate requirement for a Mechanical Estimator to work on contract for a medium sized M&E contractor based in Manchester. They are currently searching for a mechanical estimator to join their busy estimating team. Reporting to the managing estimator, the successful candidate will be estimating for mechanical tenders mainly on commercial, leisure and retail projects
Role:
- Working within a mechanical estimating team looking to win contracts ranging from £75k to £6m on mechanical packages
- Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from plumbing and HVAC specialists
- Liaise with other members of the estimating team and Contracts Manager
- Comfortable with takeoff measurements
- Dealing with enquiries
- Dealing with technical queries
Candidate:
- Ideally have a mechanical engineering background
- Previous experience within an estimating department essential
- Mechanical qualification essential
- Good team player
- Excellent communication
- Previous experience with estimating software essential
