Our client is a world wide consultancy with a Renewables Team based in Newcastle.
They require Project Managers from a Wind Energy, Biomass or Solar background to provide management of projects on behalf of clients
The role function follows:
A multi disciplinary role with the successful candidate being expected to act as Project Manager and Technical Lead on a variety of renewable technologies but mainly concentrating on Wind, Biomass and solar.
To provide commercial and technical support and advice to Owners, Developers and Lenders throughout the project life cycle.
MAIN DUTIES :
Provide technical and commercial support and advice to Owners, Developers and Lenders throughout the project life cycle.
Project due diligence for lenders and developer mergers/acquisitions
Project Management & Technical lead
Assist clients to negotiate turbine supply & maintenance contracts.
Evaluation of site performance testing, guarantees, liquidated damages for renewables projects
Wind measurement and resource assessment andwind farm layout and constraint assessment; or
Experience on large/mid scale biomass projects
Proposal preparation and follow-up
Supervise other team members and manage work flows.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Proven technical abilities in the wind and/or biomass sector
Experience in due diligence work for lenders and developer mergers/acquisitions
Self start Project Manager with proven abilities to take the Technical Lead and deliver to client satisfaction
Proven experience in client support for renewable vendor supply contracts
Working knowledge of industry software e.g. WindPro, WAsP, Windfarm, Mathcad
Articulate with good report writing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience of other renewable technologies.
Degree level education or equivalent
Chartered Status
The position will be UK based with some overseas travel
