£55000/annum Plus Negotiable on Experience


Due to expansion, our major client is looking to recruit a Principal Electrical Engineer into their Energy & Process division.

This senior position, primarily for the Hydrocarbon & Chemical Sector, but with opportunities in Power & Nuclear Process sectors. You will report to the Chief Electrical Engineer, playing a key role in support of the hydrocarbon & Chemical Sector & the design & delivery of the electrical engineering group at corporate level across all sectors.

You will have a proven capability in the design of large power distribution systems up to 33kV, specification of LV and HV equipment, switchgear, transformers & large electric drives, VSDs, earthing systems & power systems analysis (load flow, short circuit and protection), at concept, FEED & detail design level.

You must be able to demonstrate strengths in leading the electrical design & have a proven track record in delivering project execution to budget and programme in a range of industries & clients.

Candidates will show a strong & successful background in electrical plant engineering & design (concept to final implementation) for the UK, & a proven capability to take the lead role for major projects. 

It is essential that the candidates will have a sound understanding of the associated national standards, regulatory framework and supply chain.

You will have a pro-active attitude, foster excellent working relationships & a first-rate communicator.

As a Chartered Engineer you must have significant post graduate commercial power experience with a proven track record as a Project Discipline Engineer on several projects within a similar environments.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent + Chartered Status
