SENIOR NAVAL ARCHITECT
LOCATION: LONDON
SALARY: NEGOTIABLE

Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Naval Architect to work in their London office.

Scope of role
The work involves naval architectural analyses and project administration as part of our clients growing and varied workload.
The position is mainly office based but some offshore/overseas travel will be required.

Skills & qualifications
Experience in the following would be an advantage:
Riser and mooring analysis
Vessel motion studies
Multi-body Dynamic analyses
Hydrodynamic modelling

Person specification
The ideal candidates would be able to demonstrate a relevant engineering background and a proven track record in a similar field
Applicants having a degree in Naval Architecture and with chartered status will be given preference
It would be helpful for candidates to have a good understanding of first principle hydrodynamics with knowledge of industry standard software packages such as Orcaflex, Freecom/Flexcom, MOSES, AQWA, etc
Candidates with a proven track record in, or candidates with an aptitude for, project management gained at a recognised offshore engineering consultancy or offshore contractor, in addition to knowledge of hydrodynamics, will be given special consideration
