JOB TITLE: Trim and Final Assembly Technician x 3
LOCATION:  Gaydon, Berkshire
SALARY:   £16 per hour Ltd
DURATION:  Contract

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
A member of a small team responsible for the Quality, Volume and Cost of vehicles through the One-77 manufacturing facility at Gaydon in line with set quality standards and business measures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Fitment or assembly of components using the laid down process in order to meet the specific vehicle build requirements.
2. Validate components are fit for purpose and follow correct process in order to address the concern.
3. Locates and assembles components into jigs and carries out a variety of operations.
4. Removes assemblies from jigs carries out a variety of processed operations in order to progress the vehicle.
5. Carries out a variety of in process audits in line with laid down quality and maintenance procedures and carry out any necessary counter measure activities.
6. Validate all work to ensure that it meets the customer expectations be it internal / external and record data for analysis.
7. Adheres to work place standard procedures at all times in line with resolution of all manufacturing concerns.
8. Supports quality, productivity and process improvement initiatives as part of daily requirements not an additional job.
9. Responsibility for self-management of processes that the team own or have an input into.
10. Attendance at audit to explain and raise concerns and then support corrective actions with full commitment
11. Carry out preventative maintenance in line with schedules
12. Ensure build requirements are met and ensure rework / non value added activities are captured and removed using the AMPS tools provided.
13. Train others to achieve the build requirement to the laid down structure and process
14. Develop processes in order to address build concerns or potential damage areas using the green belt process in order to capture all data
15. Carry out Kaizen activities as part of manufacturing process
16. Carry out 5s process at the allotted times and schedules.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Willingness to learn new technology and perform at the highest level in order to meet business requirements
Ability to read drawing and interpret process sheets and follow processes in line with procedures
Can work to templates, jigs and fixtures and cycle times.
Understanding of metal bonding processes and machinery.
Health and Safety at Work Act and environmental policy.
Knowledge of build sequence procedures

Hand and eye co-ordination required when locating parts to vehicle body and aligning trim panels an eye for detail.
Manual dexterity required handling and using a wide variety of tools, fixtures and equipment.
Tactile skill in assessing correct shapes and surface finish of skin panels and alignment of panels in order to fully achieve business measurable in line with the overall business commitments.
