They have a current vacancy for a Principal level Town Planner to be based in their office in central London to develop and deliver their Planning Consultancy
Essential Criteria
- Relevant planning qualification (degree or equivalent work experience)
- Relevant development control experience and a sound understanding of the planning process gained in either the English/Welsh or Scottish planning systems.
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and work with limited supervision
- Ability to develop good working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Full Driving licence
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer care approach and skills
- Flexibility in responding to changing demands and a willingness to be involved in service improvement and business development as required
- Proactive approach to personal development
Desirable Criteria
- Member of the RTPI
- Relevant experience of planning policy formulation

The main purpose of this role is to provide planning consultancy services for a range of public and private sector clients. The main aspects of this role will involve:
- To Carry out general Planning Consultancy.
- Preparation of Development Plan Frameworks.
- Sustainability Appraisal.
- Environmental Impact Assessment.
- Supplementary Planning Guidance.
- Site Appraisals.
- Urban Capacity Appraisals.
- Processing of Planning Applications.
- Maintaining and Developing Client Relationships.
- Preparation of Bid proposals.
